About Us

Who are the Wharton Undergraduates in Public Policy?

The Wharton Undergraduates in Public Policy (WUPP) is Penn’s home for bridging the public and private sectors. Through events and projects, WUPP aims to promote the relevance of policy issues in both government and across fields, including finance, nonprofit work, and technology.

Through projects, events, and our development series, WUPP gives its members the tools to be change-makers and leaders in their communities. In our partnerships with external agencies and government organizations, members develop hands-on experience in policy research that are applicable across industries. An understanding of public policy is important now more than even and WUPP hopes to invite more students into this space.

Our alumni have gone on to prestigious and successful careers in consulting, finance, technology, and government. We maintain a robust alumni network and hold career development events so our members can stay connected and discover their interests.

What do we do?

Here at WUPP, we provide members with the opportunity to consult for major organizations on policy issues, and conduct research on major policy questions. Undergraduates in WUPP also build skills in collaboration, marketing, financial organization, and operations through work in WUPP’s committees.

Members will have the opportunity to attend transformative professional development events with alumni, government officials, and leaders in public policy.

What’s our programming?

WUPP has a variety of speaker, networking, and policy events where members can explore the intersection of the private and public sectors. Through our social events, members can engage with our community outside of a professional setting.
